Every day, 40 people in the Netherlands suffer a cardiac arrest outside the hospital. The chance of survival is greatest when someone starts CPR and connects an AED within 6 minutes. When every minute counts, rapid assistance is crucial. You can also lend a helping hand!

HartslagNu is the Netherlands' cardiac arrest alert system. With this app, you receive an alert if someone nearby experiences a cardiac arrest.

How does the Mijn HartslagNu app work?

We alert you based on your home and work addresses or based on your GPS location if you provide specific consent. The nearest 100 citizen responders within a 2 km radius receive the alert. AEDs are also included in the alerts, allowing you to either go directly to the victim or retrieve an AED first. If there are enough sign-ups, the remaining individuals receive a cancellation to avoid overcrowding with volunteers on-site.
